THE CHALLENGE

In 2022 Roe v. Wade was overturned. Millions of Americans lost their right to legal and safe abortion as countless states passed abortion bans endangering the lives of all the pregnant people they were meant to protect. The day this happened New Yorkers took to the streets congregating at Washington Square Park. This is a project inspired by that day.

THE SOLUTION

Since 2022, countless women have lost their lives due to this new legislation. This campaign doesn’t shy away from that, it instead uses these women’s stories to highlight the injustice.

The bold typography keeps the message clear, paired with the classical statue of the dismembered female form. The brigh color pairs further serve to capture attention.

WHY THIS WORKS

Giving people stories to rally around deepens their understanding of the cause they are fighting for. This colorful, poppy yet deeply thoughtful approach acts as a warning sign to grab attention and hold onto it, however upsetting the truth might be.
