THE CHALLENGE

THE SOLUTION

Café Paradiso represents a merger of two cultures, Italian and American, as well as a merger between two time periods.

This design direction brings the fun and casual elegance of classic Italian Bar culture to the Lincoln Center Area by highlighting it’s vintage typeface and pairing it with more contemporary versions of classic lookign fonts.

The patterns serves to highlight this Italian garden element, meant to illustrate that just outside the doors you will find paradise as insinuated by it’s name.

WHY IT WORKS

This ornate style centers the aesthetic in early 20th century glamor, playing on the theme with it’s classic and simple Italian fare and other brass and vintage touches throughout the establishment.
